I attended Stanford University, graduating in Economics in '72. Then I studied philosophy and received masters in '75. I married Jennifer Linner, Edina '69, in September of '75. I went to medical school at the U of M and finished in '81, did residency in family medicine at Hennepin County finishing in '84. I served in the US Navy at Camp Pendleton California until '87. Then I joined Mission Park Medical Clinic and have been practicing medicine there (now called Scripps Coastal) until the present time.
Jennifer and I had a great adventure in raising three kids for whom we are very thankful and of whom we are very proud. Jennifer served on staff at North Coast Church as director of the children's ministry for many years. We have been involved at church. Sadly Jennifer was diagnosed with stomach cancer in August of '14 and died the following January. My kids have been a great support and I still enjoy practicing medicine and enjoy getting out on my road bike pretty often. This past summer all of us went to Norway. I am half Norwegian and my parents cultivated relationships with some relatives who were very hospitable making it a fabulous trip.
